Disorders and diseases of the mankind had been there in all Ages and Era. Human sufferings have been there right from the existence of mankind. At usual colloquial practices and folklore medication were applied against the said problem even in the ancient period. It must not be forgotten that "she" alone is the source of reproduction which signifies the distinction of genital system, thus she stands unique in the Universe. The phase to 'menarche to menopause' holds very critical as it apparently confronts with many gynaecological health hazards among which 'pain during menstruation' (Kashtartava - dysmenorrhoea) is a common and alarming problem. Also this is one of the causes of infertility on one hand and leads to 'distress' on the other; thus the said disorder is a challenging one before the medical researchers. Simple 'antispasmodics' in the modern medicine is not a radical cure for this. One of the remedies from out of wide Ayurvedic treasure against ‘Kashtartavai is Ilingu Thriguna Tana' for oral consumption. To reassess its efficacy as well as seeking to rescue the patients of `Kashtartava' by an effective, economical and easily available Ayurvedic Drug, the said disease is taken up for clinical study. In view of the today's advancement of technology as well as scientific research some of the main global changes include atmospheric pollution and psychological stress and strain, these two are part and parcel of causative factors of many diseases the so called Dysmerorrhoea seen quite often in Gynaec 0.1).s of several age groups, is not spared from the clutches of infections and psychic stress besides other actiopathologies. Ayurveda dealt a lot against this. The distress of the woman resulted due to Dysmenorrhoea (KASHTARTAVA) invites the attention of all researchers. Therefore, from out of the deep treasure of Ayurvedic Drugs, one important remedy is picked up from the texts "Yogaratnakara & Ashtanga Hridayam". Yogaratnakara described the medicine on the name of Hingu Thriguna Tailarn specifying its indication against "Soola & Udavartha". Hence the said Drug is taken up for reassessment in fitness of the current society. This strategy forms aim and objective of the study.

Ayurveda has a sound base of tri-principle. Upstambhas are described by Acharya Carak for the maintenance of health and life. The emphasis given on these factors in connection with positive health is highly relevant as it reflects the fundamental approach of Ayurveda to positive health and its totality with extended emphasis on mental health. These ahara, nidra and brahmacharya support the body for the maintenance of long and healthy life span. As a tripod is based on three wooden-pillars and maintain its position. In the modern era, nobody is following the theory of upstambha. That is why society is suffering from different types of diseases which may be minor or major. Importance of sleep in the maintenance of healthy and long life is well known. It is the recharging mechanism of cells, tissues, various systems of body as well as adhyatmic components like mana. Now-a-days sleep is affected badly due to disturbed working shifts and fast life-style. Along with other various disorders, sleep related diseases are also increasing day by day. This is because of regimen as prescribed in Ayurvedic classics are not followed properly. Consequently, homeostasis of the body is disturbed due to disturbance in circadian rhythm or biological clock. Result is production of various physical and mental disorders related to sleep. That is why, insomnias and parasomnias are widely distributed and increased day by day. We can avoid this situation, which is going worst, by following various regimens regarding sleep as mentioned in Ayurvedic classics.
